What is a lifeku?

A lifeku is a haiku about daily life. For those who are unfamiliar with haiku, it is a form of Japanese poetry usually about nature, "profound," and formatted in 3 lines of 5 syllables, 7 syllables, and 5 syllables. Feel free to check out some famous haikus if you still don't get it.

Comment. It'll make the popular kids like you.

There's this one girl who works at my grocery store who is always in a pissy mood. It could be beautiful outside with rainbows and unicorns and she would still be scowling in her red smock, chucking plastic bags in my general direction. I would also like to point out that this particular girl also has a very visible moustache, which she may or may not me aware of and which may or may not contribute to her foul mood. Either way, I think we'd all be happier if she slapped some dipilatory cream on that bad boy.

Bitter cashier
It’s not my fault your life sucks
You know you’re worthless

Followed your link from MLIC. Love the post-modern haikus. Reminds me of Jack Kerouac's "Blues and Haikus" but with a touch of playful malice. If you get a chance, check out my words as well.... if you like to read fiction written by "nobodies". Later on.

I am a cashier. I hate my life.

I hate that cashier girl. In my country EVERY SINGLE CASHIER is a hog. I hate them all. And I'm a friendly person who smiles like a moron for no reason and tries to be nice so I feel to tap up those girls. For some reason though, the few guy cashiers are REALLY nice.

The guy cashiers are probably nice to you because you're hot. This could also contribute to the "hogness" of the female cashiers... but in general I think most cashiers are just counting down the minutes until they can hang themselves in their depressing studio apartment.

I'm going to argue that "cashier" is two syllables. I'm not trying to pick a fight.

sweetheart is this why they call you country because "cashier" is definitely 3 syllables: cash-i-er

we just pronounce it fast...

I'm with msc-- dictionary says two syllables.

I hate you both.

Yeah, I didn't want to say anything because you are my twin flame but I saw that too. To be fair to you, it has 3 syllables in French.
